Artist's Comments
This is a painting I started a little after summer started... just finished it last night.
It's Mr. Holmes!!! I love him so.  Facially, he is based off of Jeremy Brett, hence the large ears. The rest is from my imagination. Did you know that Holmes never wore that dopey hat in the books? The illustrator for the stories drew him in it, but he never actually wore it. It's called a "deerstalker". lol. Random tidbit.There is still something that bugs me about it, but I'm really glad I finished it because it actually has a background. I DON'T WANT CRITIQUE about the lighting. He's in a dark room, and I wanted a light source, so I added the lightning in far into this painting. The lighting isn't right, I KNOW. I still like it anyway.   |
